xmen1

Review: I decided to re-watch all the X-Men movies in movie order and not by release date. I wanted to see if things intertwine properly with the older movies. We’ll see. As for this one, it was nice seeing the origin of some of the heroes and villains. The acting, well, it was okay I suppose, some lines were a bit cringy but overall it was an enjoyable movie!

My Score: 7/10

Movie #1 – The Space Between Us

Director: Peter Chelsom

Actors: Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino, Britt Robertson

Story: The first human born on Mars travels to Earth for the first time, experiencing the wonders of the planet through fresh eyes. He embarks on an adventure with a street smart girl to discover how he came to be.

Review: Honestly, it all hardly made sense. After watching “scientifically accurate” sci-fi movies, everything they did in here seemed completetly off and wrong. The general idea was great, but the execution was pretty bad. As i said, scientifically inaccurate, the love story is pretty weak and develops too fast, Gary Oldman’s acting, or rather, his lines were pretty bad in my opinion, and to top it off, an extremely predictable ending. Over all it was barely okay.

My Score: 5.5/10
